Good, in my first game, i played with Poland, i seen that the AI worsened comparison the GAK. The military power of the civs is weak, in the medieval era, portugal have the second larger army and when i had declared war, i seen that your army was 3 archers, 3 warriors and 2 pikeman.

Someone too have this opinion relative in yours first experiences in BNW?

So you compare your prob +100 games of GnK to 1 game of BNW.

I wouldn't say worse, just different, at least diplomatically. And gold problems can more easily derail a civ's military power.

It's rather easy on larger maps to get gold starved AI civs, this result in small armies for a long time, until trade routes get enough range to connect.

1: Add tons of City States.
2: Add more civs.
3: Play smaller maps.

What is strange, seen that i not have problems with gold in my first game. I have 4 cities, the first larger army of the game and i receive +60 gold per turn.

I am in the renascence age on 1200 a.c.

Just add more warmongers (Shaka, Genghis, Atilla, Aska, etc) to the mix and/or play at higher difficulty levels.

Didn't get this. Siam had like 15 Naresuan Elephants, but oddly didn't do anything with them.

From what I've played, the AI looks like it has the potential to be better, but it's mostly squandered for some reason. The AIs in my game literally just sat there and built wonders in the early game, but after I took those wonders they all kinda gave up. None of them went after a victory, or even made an attempt to take control of the world congress or control any city states whatsoever.

The A.I. will just let you win the game without ever challenging you. Some people think this is a major improvement. I think its made the game into a terrible version of SimCity.
