Hi,
I started my first real game last night (and can't wait to get home and continue!).
One of my favorite strategies in Civ II was to build a massive Air Force. With 7-10 air units (and some strategically placed air strips and marines), you could gobble up city after city in record time.
So obvious I want to try this on Civ III.
I just got air units but I haven't had time to explore their use to a great extent yet. But from my brief experiments, I see that you can only bombard cities, and not specifically take out defending land units in those cities.
Is this true? Or can fighters kill land units?
-DVS
PS
I had one one of those speardudes destroy my grounded fighters!!! how does that happen?
