Aircraft promotions not working?

Is there a trick to assigning promotions to planes?

I have been using stealth bombers allot in my latest game and have some over 100 experience but they are all still level 1. When I select the plane there is no option to upgrade even though it says that it is 122/10.

don't know if it's a bug, or by design... but stealth bombers don't promote.... sorry

Yeah. No promotions for aviation. God forbid they could get more damage or better chance to evade....

"Bombers do promote, stealth bombers don't."

At least that was the state of things pre-patch, and judging by this thread it has not changed. I haven't played much with stealth-bombers post patch, but regular bombers still do promote (tested & verified).

It is (reportedly) now possible to upgrade bomber to stealth bomber, and assuming that the promotions are retained, it should be possible to have upgraded stealth bomber. Well that's the theory, at least, I haven't tried it...

Jet fighters and Bomber promote. In fact, when you get the one extra turn promotion for your bomber, you can have 3 of them on a carrier, and each having 2 turns, which means you can bomb 6 times with only 3 bombers. Thats efficiency.
