Title
Here are three screenshots from my new scenario about Alexander the Great.
The story is simple: Alexander and his Macedonian army are invading Persia...
The scenario features all seven tribes:
Macedonians
Persians
Bactrians
Taxilans
Indians
Oikumene
Greeks
The Macedonians are Alexander's empire
Persians are the ones invaded by Alexander
Bactrians: After the death of Darius (in these terms the capture of a specific city, Hekatompylos), the usurper Bessos will declare war on the Macedonians.
The Taxilans are the kingdom of Taxiles Omphis, a raja in northern Punjab. I chose to represent this one as an independent civ because it was virtually the only one that surrendered to Alexander, though at war in this scenario.
The Indians are all other Indian tribes.
Oikumene is what would be called "Mother Nature" in other scenarios. 'Oikumene' is the Greek term for 'world'. It's an undestroyable civ that controls such things as high snow in the mountains and deserts.
The Greeks finally are those Greek states independent to Alexander: Sparta, Byzantion, etc.
The only ones playable here (at least for now) are the Macedonians. Gameplay necessities require that, though I do not doubt that there will be a Persian version at least somewhere in the future.
As of yet, there will be only one events file, so installation will be easy. That one, however, is filled entirely with historically accurate events.
Right now, the scenario is being playtested by Alcibiates of Athenae, but I could use some further playtesters. If anybody is interested, please sign up here or by eMail at Stefan.Haertel@t-online.de
And if anybody shouldn't know, my homepage URL has changed to:
