my wife noticed this issue an hour before I did. And even after the websites came back up services relying on .NET and databases weren't working properly.
Also, NJ has more population than 1/2 the world's countries. If a country's gov't website went down wouldn't that be interesting?
They are all probably hosted in the same place seeing as how they're all Gov websites. Some IT probably tripped and pulled out a plug in the data center or something.
Unless there's a sudden, multi-hour sustained downtime, I doubt it's anything but an accident.
