Hey guys!
I'm a huge fan of the civilization series... been playing this game since Civ 2 in the PSX, I instantly fell in love with the software! LoL

My favourite game of the franchise is civ 3, i think is well balanced and works on most of my computers, anyway, I been googling a lot trying to find a map or mod that allows you to play a game with all of the chooseable civs, i think it would be a huge map, but I like epic and long lasting games...

So guys, after googling that much and finding nada, would like to kindly ask you guys for your assistance in finding a mod or map that make that possible... playing a game with all of the possible AI players

Greets form a great fan of the game and the forum from CHILE!:D

I'd recommend fiddling around with the Civ 3 Conquests Editor. (If you don't know where it is, it is in your Conquests directory)

I will! Hopefully I'll be able to create a map with more than the maximum AI players the standard game lets you set up [emoji1360]

Naxoescobar89, welcome at CFC. :band:[party]

At least one such mod exists for C3C, enabling 30 AI civs plus barbarians plus the player (all together 32 participants of a game). If you want to do a successful mod/scenario with 32 participants, you not only need bigger map sizes, but you have to adjust tons of other factors from the distance between civs, over research costs and a new setting of the tradenet to speed, range and other settings of units.

How will you achieve to have more than 32 participants in a C3C game?

Hi Civinator, thanks for replying, well, I Don't really know, seems like I would take a lot of time and learning to do so... In the meantime, would you tell me the name of such mod you mention? Would like to try that and have something to start with :3

30 AI players is the most I'm aware of that can be done through the normal editor. I remember reading from Antal that 30 AI is the maximum in one game that civ3 can allow. He said that it could be possible to make more than 31 selectable (if using his methods) at the player setup, but not have that amount in the one game.

Computer code is binary. 30 AI civs + 1 barbarian + 1 player = 32. That's 100000 in binary. 6 out of 8 bits (1 byte). The other 2 bits are probably used for flags - AI/Player being one that's likely. There's all kinds of things like that which are hardcoded. The limits are related to the system requirements when C3 was new - 10+ years ago. Because it's hardcoded there's no feasible way for us to extend that limit.

I see, there are things that can't be changed... Anyway, have anyone before had made a mod or map supporting the 30/32 civs? Would like to try that :)

May be there are some other mods out there, that assist 30 plus two civs, but here is a link to one of them: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=352057

Spoiler :
Here are the civs that can be played in this mod:
