Hi everyone !

Thought I'd post captures of all the unit types I saw so far in the two scenarios. Felt like it would clutter up the other thread, so started another one. I think it would be ok to reserve it only for unit captures, and I'll keep it update once the 3rd scenario comes along.

If anyone wants, I could also include the same kind of captures for everything that can be constructed from a city... Let me know if you think it would be interesting.

Here Goes

EDIT: Of course, take everything here with a grain of salt. I don't get the feeling that these are anywhere like the final numbers for the units. Still, they give a nice insight into their strengths and weaknesses

Does anyone know what "Prevents its army from retreating" means? I did not see anything like morale to justify a unit to run away from the battlefield.
Or is it just a disadvantage meaning you cannot run away before the battle starts?

Did I miss something or is the langskip the first ship with ranged attack, other EUs aside?

The langskip is the first medieval ship unit we have seen too, there is the bonus of emblematic quarters and legacy traits in open dev too. (for Hittites, Norse, Persian and Japanese)

No, "Transport galley" from Classical Era can do it too. Basically it is naval replacement for embarked land unit like in Endless Legend. When vikings embarks they became langskips. Nice and historically accurate.
And basically they CAN go by rivers as description tells since land units has bonus movement on river tiles :)

Hm, since both galey and langskip basic range is "1" I assume actual range depends of embarked unit range?

PS. As far as we know langscip first nalal unit that dont sink in ocean. Perfect for Vinland discovery! And some pillage.

At the beggining of a battle, you have an option to either accept the battle or run away. Samurai's code of honor prevents them from using this option. I find it very fitting, but hey, i'm really no history expert ;-)

@Narcisse: halbardiers are anti-cavalry; Samurais are not. I'm not sure this is the right compare ? Also; Where did you get thos extra units ? I forgot about the langskip, but the others ? you took them from other images ? they're not in the open dev, are they ?

EDIT: forget it...can't believe I forgot the chariot units from mini battle 1 ;-) so only battering ram that I don't remember seeing

Gigir and Markabata come from the first battle (Hittites versus Egyptians). Battering Ram is the first siege weapon, but removed in the scenario 1 tech tree if I well remember, so it must come from a video or discord.
Yes nice catch for Halbardiers I forget the anti-cavalry thing. It's a weird evolution for the medieval pikemen. Renaissance spearmen don't especially use halberds , but really long polearm/pike.
Halbardiers is more a evolution of Greatswordmen job IIRC
Anyway it's okayish for gameplay consistancy, and halberds is late medieval / early Renaissance, so I suppose we will have another unit after

Spearman seems to be missing:

Did anyone else notice the chariots in the 1st scenario don't look like their artwork? The horses are basically naked in game but in their artwork they have all this flashy decoration and the hittite one even has some armour.

If you speak about the Babylon scenario, it's normal, the 3D model of generic units change depending your culture. So they have some Babylonian assets.
Apparently their color skin will change too depending of your avatar

And yes artworks are more detailed than the ingame 3D model.

BTW great post on the GTG forum for the line of sight situation, @Narcisse (FEEDBACK AND SUGGESTIONS (MONTAGES) ABOUT MY MAIN PROBLEM WITH BATTLES : VISUAL INFORMATIONS.)

Maybe you should post it here too. Very interesting

ah thanks^^ I don't know, there is similar posts about the same issues from other poeple, and a Dev already reacted at one of them. If poeple here, are interesting in feedback, bugs and to help Amplitude, G2G is a really nice tool to check
By the way, if you like my specific suggestions, don't hesitate to thumbs up my thread to give it more visibility.

If someone want to see my little montage : https://www.games2gether.com/amplit...attles-visual-informations?page=1#post-300665

For the thread here, it could be interesting to show the different 3D model we know ! For exemple in the 4th battle we can see than arquebusiers have different skin for Japanese and Korean.
