lets face it: juggling between 5 governments (7 if u have conquest) gets boring after awhile. civ4 needs a custom-government thing like alpha centauri had. or maybe put some sliders in like "freedom" "social classes" "enviornment" and whatnot. i'd just like to be a complete despot and get away with it :-D

I agree! Also we could also use some kind of world government like in Alpha Centauri where we could takle problesm like global warming or another nation waring with another, or perhaps this is already in the game but since I always try and conquer I never get to use them.

I would also like to see the SMAC model - it leads to many more choices and choices are what make the game interesting.
