Alpha Centauri soundtrack

Is there anyplace where someone can get an "official" Alpha Centauri soundtrack? My guess is no.

I loved the Alpha Centauri music so much I recorded all of the 6 songs that are used as the background music for the factions. I've listened to some of it in the CD player, and it's nowhere near as pleasant to listen to while it's in the game. In my stereo it's basically just background music when you want some background noise that's not distracting.

Does anyone have a good way to rip the music files? I wouldn't mind getting the music off my copy myself.

The music is played like a midi file, all the instrument sounds are in a pile in the sound effects folder, so you would have to either play the game and rip the audio, or try and reconstruct the music from the instrument sounds.

Horrible!? The music is fantastic as background music in the game. As music to listen to...well, it's not quite as good.
