Alright, I have it, ask your questions

You can find unit stats In the manual (at least in the others civs you could) or in the game, there should be aq section that lists terrain stats, gives info on each country, military units, etc.

If its too much work to list all units, can you list ones not avalable on this site, such as rifleman, infantry, marine, (all?) of the navy, also fighter is the only aircraft mentioned, with a power of 16.

Heres an example: Modern Armor- Power 40 move 2, Sowrdsman- Power 6 move 1, etc.

Thanks for any info you can give.

"Holy Roman" is probably Germans, before anyone jumps on that.

I wish I could remember who it was that said that the Holy Roman Empire was "neither Holy, Roman, nor an Empire."

Who said it was not Holy, Roman, or an Empire? It was Mike Meyer's character on that SNL skit Coffee Talk with Linda something

I would scan the sheet except it is two sided on five folds, and I believe that is what you are talking about. I don't see Rifleman, Infantry, Marine, Swordsman or Modern Armor though.

I see things on this such as Commando -- Can use enemy roads, Sentry +1 visability range, etc.

Infantry - 20/1 -- 140 (+25% vs. gunpowder)
Marine - 24/1 -- 160 (Amphibious, +50% attacking machine gun, +50% attacking artillery)
Galley - 2/2 -- 80 (cargo space 3)
Frigate - 8/4 -- 90 (bombard city defense -10%/turn)
Battleship - 40/6 -- 225 (bombard city defense -20%/turn, collateral damage)

NOTE: These are all from the manual, which may be flawed!!! And far from an exhaustive list of units in any category.

Hi, Does the game come with the manual in electronic form? It would be wonderful if the German version has the English manual in the DVD, I would pick that and cancel my preorder at Play!

Thanks for the info.. so do cannons and arty now have ther own power (unlike civ 3 where they were 0/0 and just bombard value) and have the ability to lower city defence?

How do aircraft work in Civ4?

Am I correct in guessing riflemwn are 16 power? If that is the case, first civ to riflemen will have a major advantage over people with musketmen (9 power)

If you have the time so other units we dont have info on, or at least I cant find: All bombard units other then catapults, air units, Ironclad, destroyer, Air Craft Carrier, machine gun (is this infarty or bombard unit?)

No riflemen are supposedly 14 (the Rod's UU says the Redcoats are 2 points above the standard)

Civ4 does not use Starforce.
Thanks Mike. This is very good news.

Okay, first thing is first: This is my first Civ game, so you guys are going to have to walk me through exactly what it is that you're talking about much of the time.

The first thing that I noticed was that this games graphics engine appears to put some stress on my GeForce 256 MB Video Card.

what type of GeForce do you have? I have a 6800 GT with 256MB which is practically top of the line. If that can't handle CivIV...
