This is an alternate history Earth. Set in 2050, all of Earths countries had condensed down into 12 empires.

United Central African States = Shonghai
Greater Ethiopia = Ethiopia
United Islamic Republic = Arabia
Indian Federal Union = India
Communist Republic of China = China
United Pacfic Union = Korea

==Notes==
-All cities start with 1 population and no buildings except coastal cities have a harbor.
-Happiness at the start is no less that 0 (no guarantee no gold)
-All trade routes come pre-build with roads
-some civs start in different eras (modern-Information)
-Score and Science victories are disabled
-Requires Gods & Kings

==Known bugs==
-Some civs start in 2090 instead of 2050.

if anyone has any insight as to why some people are having trouble finding the mod after downloading it when downloaded from the steam workshop (link to steam workshop added above).

ihhh, iam right, its actually only a world map with some civs and i have to reset game options to have the right proposials?

i also have problems. i subscribed, the mod appears, i enable it, click next, then it tells me the mod is in use, i click single player, and in the simplified view i click Map type, but can't see any "alternate earth", not any other name that is out of the ordinary. Tried to see if it comes up in advances setup... same issue there too.

You combined the Alternate Earth(v 1).modinfo file and the Alternate Earth V1.0.Civ5mapfile in one folder. After unzipping with Ez7 you should should take out the civ5map file and put it under maps not MODS or Documents->Aspyr->Sid Meier's Civilization 5->Maps. You can keep the Alternate Earth(v 1).modinfo in a folder under MODS if you want it doesn't affect the scenario.

To all those who still can't get the mod try putting this file in Maps

Started playing the scenario in prince level.... questions?
1. Why do you start out in 2050 with pops of 1 and no money and -50 in unhappiness?
2. How does the rest of the world go to war with its neighbors with no soldiers?
seems like a pretty hard war to win..
