Alternate Tech Tree Development (Thread 2)

Is there any way to give druids an either/or requirement?

Certainly, but I believe it would require a change to the logic, almost certainly not a difficult change - but I have no plans to make changes to the logic until the FfH team gets a bit closer to a finished product; this is because changes to xml don't usually cause problems even if it isn't 100% compatible, but changes to the DDS can cause problems.

To be honest though - I've taken a step back from Civ IV (FfH) because my laptop is having a problem, which unfortunately may be because of FfH. I AM NOT BLAMING THE TEAM, BUT RATHER MY ENJOYMENT OF THEIR WORK. The mod adds a lot to the game, which also raises the system workload - on a powerful desktop this might be noticed as longer periods of time between turns, but on a laptop it creates a lot of extra heat... make long story short - I think that I burnt something out in it because it now does not run off of battery - even though it detects the battery and says that it is 100% charged. The laptop is still under warranty, just been too lazy to take it to the shop to see what's up. :( But once I find out what's going on, I'll be back -- and probably just have to turn down the graphix settings even more.

i am not certain, but i think either/or as a prerequisite can be added to units just like technologies.
it would seem logical that all the prereqs were... standardized.

I think it would make more sense if some technologies, or at least some religions prohibited researching some techs. It doesn't make sense to research Corruption of Spirit, followed immediately by Righteousness. Perhaps these prohibitive techs could somehow be un-learned.
