I figured some people would want to play this game so I'm uploading it for funnies to be had. Cerro (10gpt) is 6 tiles to the west and El Dorado (5cpt) is 11 tiles to the south. I used the reseed mod for this because I never played Isabella and wanted to see what a strong Spanish start is capable of.

Also, I had to go back through autosaves to get this so it starts on turn 1 with city already settled (sorry).

Game Setting:
Difficulty: King
Map: Pangaea
Barbs off
Policy and promotion saving allowed
Espionage off
Quick movement and Quick combat on

Is it possible to increase the difficulty level to Immortal? (While keeping the full map including all starting locations and resources?)

1,500 gold and 10 gpt from Cerro on King--game is already over

These Spain starts can be a lot of fun though. I had a recent game with an absolute perfect Barrier Reef city location with Old Faithful within settling range. Only problem: I wasn't playing as Spain

I have a initial auto save with Spain on Emperor (I think). Where the Uluru is just below and GBR is a few tiles to the right. I remember I had 4 cities and +36 faith within 15 turns. If anyone wants it I'll share.

I actually rerolled a few different times (since I saved that one off, I can play it later) to get Uluru and Sri Pada close by and all I have to say is wow. Having 4 cities, and an improved religion (with Holy Warriors) before turn 60 is ********. The current game is at turn 133, I'm making over 60fpt and have conquered theresa and Rahm capitol's without having to build units. Every nation is either hostile or at war with me and there is nothing they can do about it. Spain is indeed fun with these kind of starts.

Yeah, if you are lucky it becomes ridiculous. I had one recently on Immortal where I was next to the two faith mountains (+6f, +8f ) and Uluru was on the other side of the continent, but I managed to settle on all 3 wonders and with One with nature I was making 64f each turn very early. I wish I had thought of going with Holy warriors as I was spamming Pagodas and Cathedrals. I was getting so much faith I didn't know what to do with it and ended up with one Great Prophets after another. My religion was already spread so what was I to do except make holy sites? I can't remember how much faith I had but I think it was something like +120 at turn 100. I gave up the game because it was just annoying having that much... should have gone a different route.

Holy Warriors is well advised for Spain when you settle by religious wonders (a bit less necessary if you settle by regular natural wonders, where all you are getting is doubled One with Nature faith).

Here are couple deity initial saves. There might be GBR in these, as I barely scouted the coastal waters. If anyone has a Uluru+Sri Pada combo, please post it. Also, El Dorado and Fountain of Youth saves would be interesting.

Difficulty: Deity
Map: Continents
Size: Standard
Resources: Standard
Settings: Quick combat, promotion saving, policy saving.

Isabella_0000 BC-4000mfnspecse: Mt. Fuji, 4 or 5 tiles NW; Sri Pada, 5 or 6 tiles SE; Cerro de Potosi, several tiles SE of Sri Pada in a small patch of desert land.

From the start, move your settler near Mt Fuji and send your warrior to find Sri Pada and Cerro de Potosi. 1,500g to start.

Isabella_0000 BC-4000_mtf_w, sp_n: From start, Mt. Fuji, a few tiles west; Sri Pada, 10 or so tiles north/northeast.

Again, move your settler to find Madrid near Mt. Fuji while sending your warrior to search for Sri Pada. With the funds, send a second settler to find Barcelona near Sri Pada.

Isabella_0000 BC-4000-uluru_sw: Uluru, ~2 tiles southwest from start. I managed to nab Petra here too :D

Here's an initial autosave of an emperor Spain game with the Fountain of Youth and Uluru close enough to pick up the 500 gold upon finding each of them. It was fun to watch the happiness meter go from -2 to +18 by purchasing the Fountain of Youth tile, and considering that Montezuma and Oda Nobunaga will take offense to settling by these wonders, the healing at double rate will come in handy immediately.

From starting location, Sri Pada is 9 tiles NE. GBR is around the coast SE, sharing the same coastline as the one near the start. You are in a footrace to find Sri Pada first.

Isabella_0000 BC-4000_U_w,FOY_nw
From the start, Uluru is 6 tiles W and Fountain of Youth is ~13 tiles NW, 3 tiles W (in a non-scouted, non-settled area). There may be more NWs around ;). Three nearby religious CS's will help you nab a pantheon relatively quickly. Footrace to discovering the Uluru first!

Keep those saves coming! :)

I like how everyone just has these saves laying around :D

If anyone has Emperor/Immortal one with GBR near start, I'd like to play one of those.

Well, the FoY is right next door to another AI's capital. Expect a DoW w/in 10 turns upon settling there. :D

Also, if you don't find it right away, a nearby CS will start buying tiles towards it.

Yep, this map is made for holy warrior domination. This continent also has the Rock of Gibraltar just southwest of Korea which is easy to get to after purchasing enough troops with faith to plow all the way through them. It also didn't hurt when a conquistador I purchased with faith turned into cavalry after searching the ancient ruins at the northeast tip of the continent in 100 AD. I would say it was game over at that point, but it was game over when I clicked on "Start Game".

I'm in the midst of a spain start; the capital is not outstanding with gems/whales and no river for start, but Uluru to the west and Kailash to the east, discovered both first and settled both in my game. Super religion was easy; I founded religion turn 27; I've built 4 missionaries and 5 pagodas and enhanced by turn 90. There's also an abundance of luxes - my Uluru location added 2 unique lux (could've also had Marble! but I hadn't uncovered that tile, and it's in 4th ring now), and another in Kailash city. Perhaps not as strong as an El Dorado start, but if you want a super religion this is your save :)

It's immortal difficulty.
