Amurite Armageddon Scenario V1.0 Download

Description:
The Amurites have been dabbling in darker magicks, and while they claim it is for the sake of science, their neighbours disbelieve and have formed an alliance to stop them before it is too late.
As the Amurites you must hold off the alliance until you can achieve greater power. The three most immediate and obvious routes are through sorcery, priests, or a pact with Hyborem himself.

Notes:
Only Ashen Veil, the Order, and Runes are allowed and already researched. Ashen Veil will be founded in a random Amurite city, and the other two will be founded in the AI cities.
This scenario is pretty much a prequel to my Bannor Armageddon Scenario, the idea being that the Amurites were the ones to summon Hyborem into the world to defend themselves (to their dismay he will automatically declare on them) against the alliance (who attacked thinking they would do such a thing, causing that very thing).
The true to story victory of this is to switch to Hyborem and destroy everyone, including your old Amurite self.
Advice: Abandon your two front cities, you'll not have opportunity to properly defend them, and fall back to the hill cities where you can mount a more effective defense behind the safety of the forest wall.

your imageshack uploads aren't working i'm afraid, they lead back to the homepage instead of your own image. Seems like a very interesting map though, i take it no settlers is on, so the upper left corner is for the hyborem city?

the image shows for me.. i dont click it but i dont see why youd need to click it (it wont get bigger or anything) heh

no settlers is on, and ya thats the idea for hyborem, tho if any cities change hands before hes in he can appear elsewhere.

i have a general plan for 6 total scenarios that are connected in the same world, and maybe a 7th for the entire world that starts from the beginning, depending on time and interest. this amurite scenario is the first chronologically, and the bannor scenario is the last chronologically, with the other 4 being the events between them (sheaims dominance, basiums fall, last of the grigori, and a sun versus shadow conflict that is mainly untouched by armageddon).

tried my first game on this map as the amurites on prince, and gave up after about 12 turns. The units your opponents start out with are way to much to cope with with 1 adept per town + 4 imps. On turn 1 i got attacked by 1 iron golem and 2 wood golems, which shortly after got backed up by more golems. On turn 5 the khazad attacked with 6 trebuchets and 4 axemen. On turn 10 the hippus showed up with horse archers. All i had to defend with were skeleton summons! Eighter give the amurites some defensive units, or tune down the other civs. A road connecting your eastern city could help aswell, but i'm afraid that would allow the hippus to do even more damage.

oh, i forgot to put my advice in the first post:

"abandon your two front cities, theyre lost" heh

i found it rather too easy on noble using the abandon strat, since if you fall back to the hill cities its really simple to defend those two cities with hordes of skelettons (who are 5 strength because of the tower of necromancy)

let me know if that helps at all, the AI has only a few iron golems and cant make more til they research a bit, and i found with the forest wall slowing the horse archers from reaching your hill cities it can be easy to hold them off.

oh, one other tip, blaze can come in handy with the afore mentioned forest wall.

other than that, if you can survive til priesthood or sorcery you can make some really powerful spectres, or til you get hyborem

I like this scenario, first thing i done was set up all the cities to build warriors i will use as meat shields and they come in handy after you change to hyborem when they enemy kills them. Then i sent 3 adepts and 2 imps to both front cities, with 5 unlimited skeleton summons in both cities the enemy had no chance.

Then i just sat around defending and building warriors while researching to infernal pact and changed to hyborem around turn 30.

One thing was strange though, I saved before switching and no matter how many times i reloaded the barbarians were always at war with the infernals so i had to fight all the barb heroes aswell. :crazyeye:
