Some time ago i asked a number of people here (such as Dachs) if they could direct me to some reliable, but also free, source on the internet about a specific aspect of the Franco-Prussian war.
That aspect was the occupation of Rouen by the Prussian forces.
I wanted to know how daily life was there during the occupation, because i mean to write some short story placed there at that era.
So i would need to have information as to how the Prussians treated the population, if there were any large scale executions (small scale ones existed, if i believe at least De Maupassant, but sounds logical too), if the Prussian army marched periodically through town or just once, and such bits and pieces of history of the days for the occupied populace at that city of Normandy.

So, anyone have something of note to share? Dachs did have some sources, but they were articles i could not access because a fee was needed.

Rouen, btw, is the city of Flaubert, and De Maupassant was also a norman. Also the short story would have inevitably parallelisms with the current financial occupation of this country.
