By the way, in case anyone is interested here are the 'outtakes' missing from the units.bmp that Gareth posted. Cheers:)

Edit: I don't know how to make the image appear in the post in addition to the attachment preview, but if you're interested just click on the attachment.

Good to see you Erin, and thanks for that. Here's hoping You someday find the time and interest to finish up Sea Kings. If you do, I'll make up a new unit set to rplace these old 'uns. :)

Late, I have to give credit to Catfish and Fairline (I'm so useless with signs)
I had to base on their exceptionnals stuff to finish wth something correct.

Right, made some compilations of ancients units which I drew largely for the Slitherine game 'Field of Glory' (it's a nice tabletop ancient and medieval wargame PC sim -get it!).

First up, Romans:

and finally some Greeks. Thracians, Dacians, Sarmatians and other Roman enemies ending in 'ians' to follow when I can be arsed to put them in a compilation.

 Wow! Fairline strikes again. This collection is outstanding and will stand ToT ancient scenario creation in good stead for years to come! It is very inspiring as a designer to have such a rich reserve of units to draw upon. Tanelorn and yourself have done a fantastic job revitalizing this era over the last year or so. Thanks!

I have to pick out a few favourites for special praise. The first Galatian is going straight in. He is the one I know from Angus McBride's illustrations of Galatians in Ptolemid service, great! The first Punic Spearman fits so well with my imagined image of Hannibal's army he has to go in. The artwork on many of the shields is fantastic and really looks great in the game. There are now so many great units to chose from I think I will include alternative files so the player in ACIII can swap them around periodically for a fresh view. It seems a shame not to make use of as many as possible!

A legion of splendid units! Again the master shows how it is done! :)

Exactly the graphics I was looking for another other scenario I've been working on. Aargh! So many projects, so little time! Darn you Fairline and your endlessly amazing graphics!!! :)

Thanks chaps :)

@tootall: OK, that's got me intrigued; what's the scenario you're working on? :yeah:

@tootall: OK, that's got me intrigued; what's the scenario you're working on? :yeah:

Over the past three years, I guess, I've been working on the following projects:

Battle of France 1944 : Released
Battle of Iwo Jima 1945 : Released
Total War 1941 - 1945 : Completed but not released (No ReadMe)
Battle of Alesia 52BC : In progress 80%
A House Divided 1861 - 1865 : In progress 75%, remains my current primary focus and the next project I'm committed to releasing.
Battle of Alamein 1942 : In progress 40%
Alexander the Great : In progress 30%
Napoléon : In progress 30%
Republic and Empire : In progress 25%
Age of Exploration 1492 - 17?? : In progress 20%

The scenario I was referring to was for Alexander. Your units could equally apply for my Roman Republic and Empire scenario but given that McMonkey is making such great strides with his Aeterna Civitas III project and it really looks like it's going to be amazing I think I will put that one aside for the time being.

Wow, what an enticing collection of scenarios! Very much looking forward to all of them, and it'll be great to see a new Alexander the Great scenario. Don't suppose I could persuade you to extend that one into the Diadochi era could I? I've always wanted to play a good Successors scenario.

Do you mean you'd like to see a standalone 'Successor' scenario or somehow to incorporated Alexander and Diadochi into one? If the latter, I don't know how you could generate the successor states within the confines of the ToT framework.

Yes, you're right of course. I know, how about you make a standalone Successor scenario :mischief:

A bunch of cavemen :spear:
