Thank you EZ. Sure, I will go full Dark age.
Let's start with the Viking Hersir:
The first is a thrall, the last is Leidang & the rest are bondi, of various means.
Anglo-Saxons next.
Good point Ciaran.
With all that fur my banana joke would sound a bit hairy, though. Anyway, their momma was so hairy, they almost died of rugburn at birth.
The last guy is one of the Úlfhéðnar "Wolfmen"
The 2nd row are (edit: Middle-) Anglo-Saxons: Select Fyrdman, Thegn spearmen, Ceorl.
Lombards and Alans next
-Edit- Large tubular Saxon quivers attach to the front, from the belt. I have found pictures of both singe (as shown) and double point belt attachment . In the latter case, the quiver hangs verticaly. I am not sure if the latter one is practical for walking and the unit looks funny.
If anyone strongly prefers the vertical quiver setup I will change the stance, not to have the quiver hanging between the archers legs.
-edit- I deleted the "joke". Seriously not funny. I am kinda mean when I'm under the weather.
I love their shield patterns, I could be making them by the dozens.
