Androbius Settler

Androbius has a settler ready to settle, and another one in 5 turns (unless the queue is changed). I'm starting this discussion to get some idea quick of where we should build. It's by the tundra (North Province). I have found an old city plan with those cities still marked in the tundra. It's got a layer of dust on it, but it should do.

Valid sites look to be:

R, S, T, M, U, V, W, G, and N.

I like R. Nice coast city. Will be large, Some grassland too!

I think R would be best right now.... coasts for food, forests for production.... it would work nicely.

U and W would let us put pressure on Denver.

I really hope Fionn or Naevrod posts a quick poll on this.

We could still use a city in the SW province near H.

This Setller and the other Settlers being produced in The North Province are all destined to be place on the Tundra of The North Province. This plan was discussed quite a while ago and it was determined that little culture cities would be the best use of this area. Besides, now with Satsuma gone, I'm sure the other Nations are eye-balling that coastline for a future city of their own. I agree that "R" looks to be the best site for this Settler, then "S". I don't really like "T, U, or W". I believe locations around "M" would be better.

A note: U, W, and X are invalid sites, unless we're itching to fight America now.

Barring those, R looks like a sweet spot for a new city.

Those 3 sites can be founded. The origanal plan was to try and culture flip that city.

Yes, CT. But with Naerva and Gunningheim. Even with a little help from Valhalla. Over crowding our border and cutting the growth and effectiveness of our existing cities is not the way to approach the situation, IMO.

Also, now that this turnchat is finished, there will be 4 settlers within the next two turn chats (provided that we play 10 turns each). 2 next turn chat (including the current settler), and 2 more the one after that.

If the plan is too try and culture flip denver then U would be a nice spot.
But if we want a good producer then maybe E would be a good spot.
Next to the water and near that mountain range..

E already has a city in its' vicinity. If you read the first post, I said that it's an outdated map, and most of the locations are already founded, or have a city next to it.

CT is correct. Locations "C" and "E" are already taken, pretty much.

As far as flipping Denver culturally, we may have been close a while back, and that may have been the reason the AI sent India into The North Province (to tear down our culture level). Since they did precisely that, it will be a long time before we would even get close to the "flip" point again. We will probably be taking it by force around that time. So why clutter up the two good cities in th Tundra area if the culture flipping isn't going to be feasible.

CT, that 4th Settler you spoke of was meant to be placed in the SW Province, as per donsig's comment.
