Annex, build settler, raze and then repopulate

As Nyanko said, doesn't razing cities in general raise SP costs? If so, then I would much rather puppet and tp spam than raze.

Wait, what? It doesn't increase SP cost when you raze the city immediately after capturing it, right?

why d some1 prefer a size 1 nothing city to a well established puppet???

Honestly like 100 answers in this thread and no1 facing the obvious.
With the sp system in civ5 its in like 99% of cases best to have puppets instead "small" cities.

Only reason to ever anex a or rebuild city d be in an early game environmentand city being on a great spot - well these argument counts only for caps and u cant raze em anyway -

so yes anexing caps CAN be good - anexing or newbuilng other sites is just dumb (in 99%)

Because puppets are happiness vampires that never produce output high quantities of :c5science:. The AI is too stupid to prioritize building Universities and staffing them. By contrast, a size 1 nothing city where you control the build order can become a useful :c5science: factory after a fairly short period of time.

That's by design - in the game's original release puppets would aggressively build Universities and would staff them if you went into :c5unhappy:. The result was that there was zero incentive to found your own cities on Deity. So Firaxis set puppets on :c5gold: focus and claimed this was a buff when in reality it was a massive stealth nerf.

That was when ICS really took off.
