Annoying "feature" in simultanous moves game

I have patched PTW. It is really annoying that in simultanous moves LAN games the comp does not allow you to finish giving orders to all units in a stack. It always neglects the last unit in a stack and jumps to another unit/stack. Say you have 4 workers in a stack. Comp asks orders for first 3 then jumps. Although it eventually asks orders for the last units in stacks, I find it very annoying that I cannot give order to all units in the stack at the same time.

Is there any way to fix the problem?

I don't think the problem is limited to patched PTW. I play C3C v1.22, and I sometimes notice that I'll have a stack of 4 workers I want to irrigate a tile. After giving orders to 3 of them, the computer will jump (and I'm thinking I was mistaken in how many workers were in the stack :crazyeye: )...then later in the turn the computer will come back to the 4th worker.

I wish I knew of a way to fix the problem. It is annoying. :(

I've never played too much simultanous move games to say, but the ones I did play were annoying because I had to act really fast, and then lags are really bad on play.

It's a problem in SP games too. I think it has to do with the active unit being a different order than those in the stack (programming-wise), and the was the stack programming is done (I'm betting it uses recursion, since the last unit you select tends to be the first that's active the next turn).

Ive had this! With a stack of Artillery and Infantry, after firing one artillery, instead of selecting another artillery, itll move to an infantry instead! very frustrating!

Yes... I have that too. What I do is select the whole stack- fortify everything-then wake just the artillery. This way I don't miss any... I know when I have exhausted my bombardment units so I can go in for the kill :nya:
