I have had problems for some time now, but only recently decided to take an actual look at it.
When I play a 3D game, I have a nice performance, but every 5-10 seconds, depending on the game, massive drop of FPS occurs.
First, I asked for help on the particular game forums (Minecraft) that had this happening most often, and they helped me find out why my games were running that way.
I spotted, at the Task Manager, that every 5-10 seconds, even without playing a videogame, CPU total usage spikes to 100%, and at the same type, this process called WmiPrvSE.exe also uses nearly 100% of that total usage.
During the break between spikes, that process just sits there doing nothing, then BAMM! it goes wild again.
I suspect this has affected my internet connection as well, since when I input any text into any textbox on any website, some letters arent inputted. I have to write this post on MS Word so I dont have to correct half of my words. Also, general connection slowness and total loss of connection from time to time.
I am so convinced WmiPrvSE is doing it. What can I do about it? Why is WmiPrvSE going wild now if he never had before? Virus? Please help ASAP. Thanks in advance.
