Another Earth

got it played it sent it

Aaaugh! My home PC won't load the save file, due to, apparently, some mod I have installed - the game then quits to desktop. I'll take my turn ass soon as I get in tomoorw morning at work. Sorry about the delay - I've done a uninstall/reinstall, and it has not addressed the issue, so I'll have to use my PC at work.

Since posting, I have successfully played my turn on my wife's computer - it would seem that my Win7 machine is having some difficulty, similar to the problem outlined here. I will see if I can work out a fix for this, as I do prefer not to take my turn at work!

EDIT: Inappropriate comment. I am sorry.

GPS

I'll be camping over the weekend, so I won't be able to forward my turn on until Sunday (it's Friday as I type this, so it will be just one day missed). Just letting y'all know!

Then Daniel has overwritten his turnfile.

(so he replayed his turn, which is not allowed,
but we let it slide for this time, as he is new to multi-player)

Daniel, you have to throw away all turn files, pick up the original file from the mail you recieved, replay the turn and send it once again..

I see... good to know.
I agree on rule, but sometimes misclick can force to replay a turn I think.
I will try to avoid that, as replaying turn spoils the fun.

We will have to wait until sunday until Daniel returns form the woods..

He was really sorry  and willing to resolve things from there,
but I told him to relax and that we will wait a few days..

You only need to delete the save file that gets overwritten - you don't have to delete all the saves.

GPS on. :-(

Sorry guys - the only reason I replayed the turn was to put the password on. Was it that or the replay that stuffed things up?

On the plus side, I've managed to get Civ PBEM working on my home desktop PC. :-/
