I was playing again last night (surprise, surprise....) and I was looking at attachking the Babalonians which had discovered the Great Wall. I was getting close to discovering metallurgy (which makes the Great Wall obsolete)

Question 1: Should I wait to attack Babylon until after I research metallurgy (aside from the benifit of cannons). i.e. Once someone researches metallurgy does it make the Great Wall obsolete regardless of who owns it or is it only within your civilization.

Aside: This "game" is becoming quite the problem :)

Question 2: I have a work related cruise for the better part of November that is not going to require very much work. Is sleep truely a necessity?

I have always known about this series and never tried it out, boy was I missing out!

Thanks!

I think you are right about the "Babs". They always seem to do well. I slapped them once early in the game and it set them back a little. It looks like they have already rebound. I need to give the Zulus one more slap and them make-up and transfer to the "Babs". I guess it is time....

Answer 1: Metallurgy makes the Great Wall obsolete only if the civ who has the Great Wall discovers Metallurgy.

You could always GIVE the Babs Metallurgy when you research it thereby rendering their Great Wall obsolete :mischief:

Ohhhhh! That is diabolical. I like it. That would be perfect for a coup de grace.
