ok,
my wonderful 300 gig hard drive died (funny noises and all) and i was forced to fall back to an old 20 gig drive. this drive has normal civ 4 , sevomod , and FFH on it. i went and ran the new FFH updater (done it hundreds of times before). and now things are not working at all. when i start the FFH mod , the start screen is the original civ start screen. when you go to the pedia the text is all there but the pics are all blue squares. i even tried starting a game to find that all non-basic civ 4 icons have been replaced by blue squares and non-basic civ 4 units are now red circles on the ground. one idea was that my civ 4 basic set was not the correct version, so i tried a game via gamespy with the understanding that it would autoload any updates. no updates were run and i was able to join games , also on a recheck of FFH i stil ahd the errors. has anyone seen issues like this? ohh and yes i tried doing teh FFH update multiple times to no effect.

If you are using youur old hard drive, you may be mixing 0.16 and 0.21 files. I would try downloading the entire 0.21 rather than the updates.

When all else fails, start from scratch. I've had to do this recently:
- uninstall Civ IV and delete any remaining FfH II files
- reinstall Civ IV and patch it
- install FfH II 0.21
- install the latest FfH II patch

If you've done this and it doesn't work, then something's really wonky.

Add patching civ 4 between reinstalling it and installing FfH II...

Yes, thank-you. I'll edit that into my post.

It looks like you don't have art files. What's the total of files and space on disk of the mod folder for FFH2 ?
