Slow launch time

Hello,

been enjoying RI very much lately. I am pretty new with the mod. I have one "weird" issue which I kind of hope to fix.

So when I boot up my PC for the first time and then try to launch RI by clicking on its icon on my desktop, it takes long time to launch. I double click the icon, then nothing happens and then after a little while the loading screen shows up and then I get to the main menu.

Now if I exit the game and launch the game again, it launches up very fast. Like a normal game. Almost immediately when I double click the RI icon, the loading screen shows up and eventually I get into main menu.

I am using a modern PC. I am using Steam version. I have Steam on C-drive and Civ 4 on another drive, if it matters. I have added RI-icon as exception in AVG Anti-virus system.

Any ideas how to speed up the launch time when launching the game for the first time after PC has been booted?

Also what happens if I remove RI-icon on my desktop, how can I then launch up Civ 4 with RI? I can't find RI.exe anywhere on my computer. I found "Realism Invictus" folder in my BTS --> MODS folder but there is just "uninstall.exe" file.

Now I moved all my RI files to C-drive so there are Steam, BtS and RI in the same drive. I feel it's now a bit faster. When I launch RI for the first time, it takes 36 seconds. When I launch it 2nd time, it takes 26 seconds. It's not now too long to be honest.

How long does it take for you to launch, if anybody has time to test it?

When loading screen comes up, there is "init XML (uncached)" message which takes long time to process. Loading is stuck during that message for a few seconds. Wondering if there is anything to make that process faster..
