Any way to get more Tribes?

Is there any patches out there that allow more tribes for scenarios? If there isn't would it be possible to make one? Someone already told me that there is a patch that allows your map editor tool to have bigger limits, so I was wondering if there was one for more tirbes, I kind of need a couple more tribes, considering I only have 7 tribes to cover 192 countries.

Sorry, so far as I know, the max is 8, if ou consider the barbarians as a tribe...

darn, that sux. im thinking of something like the Post-Cold War era. I already made one, but its not satisfying to me, because there isnt enough tribes. I already used barbarians, too.

Seven plus the Barbs is the max. Lots of people have tried for more, but nobody has succeeded...

yeah, i tried too, but it didnt work. i saw the brown flag in cities.gif. I tried to alter the rules.txt and game.txt, but it didnt work. No patches or mod packs though?
