How to zoom the map using a chromebook

I have a touchscreen on my Chromebook that allows me to pinch and zoom with fingers but when I hook to a bigger external monitor I don't have the ability to zoom , Non of the keyboard shortcuts work. Is there some type of mod or addition that I can add to allow to zoom , I know you tubers use something in there videos,, Much appreciate any guidance in this thanks
