Currently, my laptop does struggle a bit to play Civ 6 at this time. If Humankind is more intensive than Civ 6 in any way, my laptop will probably die trying to run it at this point lol. I also don't want to be upgrading at this point, as I haven't had this laptop for too long, and I don't want to get into building my personal machine at this time. Hopefully I can get around the hardware issue by playing Humankind on Stadia.

Humankind had an Opendev on Stadia last year, and I have played it extensively. It runs really well on my (then) potato computer, and I have a good internet connection.

Problem being the future of Stadia is in a limbo at the moment.

with my internet connection which is average, it worked quite well, some artifacts on the stream sometimes. It's a 4X, it don't move too much and the game is bright and colorful. There is more to worry about cloud gaming when it's competitive fps, or when it's very dark.

I don't know if Humankind will be available on geforce now. but if so, it's a good compromise, it allows you to launch compatible games from you steam library (so you normally buy your game on steam, not on geforce-now as stadia). And there is 1 free hour per day, which allows you to test the connection and if it is working well.
