I'm curious if and how well the scaling options work at various resolutions. Please report your experience when you get it up and running.
Looks like a sweet monitor. I have the 2560x1440 version.
But I would be scared as hell to buy a 27" at that resolution. Everything is going to be tiny.
So I have had this up and running(after buying a cable separately) for aprox. 1 week. All is fine after a little snafu stuff with cable(BUYER BEWARE! chekc to see which cable hooks are on you system before buying then get another cable you need) and getting the Resolution from 1080p-2160 between my laptop and monitor(laptop only goes to 1080p, monitor 4k) all is working fine.
Now I did have to run each game the way they were setup originally at 1080, and make changes to 4k resolution, and since the laptop does not have 4k screen it does not show anything that is, ie. games and proggys that are set to 4k will run only on the monitor and they do not show up on the laptop while running.
I also had to adjust which monitor was my "Main" one on windows 10(the screen for this only showed up on the laptop until I did this).
Now that all the "stuff" is done I love the fine details in video that my eyesight can see, and the games look pretty amazing.
One other thing noticed there, is that the 4k res will make the RPG games run fine with some lower settings. (like Fallout 4 had to have the details for one thing reduced to high instead of ultra setting, but that is just my GTX 980 better systems will be fine). other than this no problems in that department.
With Civ 6 settings setup I have used the above info from
@ggalindo001 to make the UI look really great! Thanks for that!!!
I even had Civ 5 and civ 4 setup on higher resolutions and also BERT for those thinking about them as well. Graphics are perfect and no reduction in settings (expected) (like F4 mentioned above)
Overall I think this monitor is the best investment I have made in monitors for many a year, and I will not have to buy another one for many more since gaming is not really catching up with 4k much until this coming year and beyond.
