Anyone notice this huge bug?

I put it here because it is about gameplay.

I heard from my friends there is a huge bug in CIV4 although I have not played it yet. not sure if it has been metioned here.
That is: You can get any thing or any city(except the captital) by a few steps while you are negotiating with an enemy to end the war.

Ok, let me explain what I was told.
They said it seems now works for every negotigation, not only the end war negotiation.
You first ask something(like a city), the enemy of course will reject. Then you can click "How will you accept..." (like that), and after that, then it's now the enemy is asking you if you can accept the same condition he rejected a moment ago! Of course you WILL accept it!
That's how it works.

How do you even ask him? Usually my things are red meaning that I can't even click it to put it on the table...or maybe I am missing something.

Well, if you are the one with the details, then why don't you try it? Seriously - I haven't seen that bug, but if it is there then please do teh following:

1.) Save the game before you try it.
2.) Follow your steps to verify that you can get it to happen.
3.) Post the save in the bug reports forums with an explanation of how to repeat it.

If you can do that, it will help firaxis to fix it.

If you ask for a city and you're not at war, they won't give it to you. It's in red letters, which means they won't trade it. They might give gold or a tech though.

Yes, it will work for techs when you are peace. and will work for cities when you are in war.

If you ask for a city and you're not at war, they won't give it to you. It's in red letters, which means they won't trade it. They might give gold or a tech though.

The pics you posted are from you being at war. That's supposed to happen, but you say it also can happen during peace...I don't know about that.

Edit: yes you can ask for a tech during peace if you are friends with the AI - nothing wrong with that.

NO NO, The AI will reject your request if you click "Would you accept this deal" in the first pic. After he rejected, you can click the second button "Let us bury...", The he will accept this time!

I just confirmed that it does not work. I'm at war with Louis the XIV. I've destroyed 5 out of his 8 cities. I ask for his two cities other than his capital and he refuses. I then ask him what would make this deal work and he says "Are you kidding? That can't be done!".

why would you want to do this anyway? Its just another form of cheating, hopefully fireaxis will release a cheat.
