Hey all,

Just saw Apocalypto over the weekend. Started a new random game this week (everything is random except map size - Huge). Guess what got generated: Montezuma of the Aztecs on a tropical map with nothing but jungles as far as the eye could see, so I decide to take Mel's vision and run with it.

(Note that Apocalypto was about the Maya and not the Aztecs, but this is as close as we get in Civ.)

I'm on a small continent with two other civs, so I make Iron Working a priority for the UU - Jaguars; plus I'll need iron working to cut down these forests around my cities.

On the way to Iron Working, I of course get Bronze Working. I adopt Slavary and once I get Code of Laws and build some Sacrificial Altars, the heads start rolling. Praise Kukulcan!!!

With my army of Jaguars assembled, I head through the forest capturing workers to send back to the capital to work in the quarries. I pillage and raze cities until I alone am left to control the continent.

No sooner do I raze my last village and what should my eyes see approaching over the horizon? A Spanish Caraval...I sh!t you not!!!!! MUST NOT TRUST THE WHITE MAN....

You should trust the white man. Sure, he'll take over your country and make slaves of your people, but times will change. Later you'll be able to rise up and guilt-trip the descendents of your conquerers, claiming that centuries of oppression have disadvantaged your kind even though the playing field may have already been legally leveled. Just complain and march a lot and then watch the handouts roll your way.

::end social commentary:::p

Yeah, when your nation gets conquered, come back later with RPGs and bombs and wipe out whitey!

That's gotta suck dude the Spanish arriving after the advanced Aztecs kicked butt

Lol whats up with the aztecs ? They have been forgotten and just when I wanted to start an AAR about them its all the craze :)
