April Update not installing

Playing on PC, all fine until April Update.
Steam Library shows that April Update is installed; however it is not in the game. No Portugal, no Zombie mods... all April data is missing. Tried to re-install the game, Steam... not a chance.
Ideas...?

Portugal and Zombie Defense were released at the same time as the March Update, not April. Are you sure you have the Portugal DLC and that it is enabled in Additional Content? As far as the free April Update, are you saying that you don't have, for example, none of the three new units?

I never downloaded the March package with Portugal DLC; however downloaded all packages since last summer. It always worked.
Also the March package shows in the library as downloaded and can't be installed again. Same as the April update. However none of them are in the game.
I normally do Multiplayer over LAN with another PC. On the other PC it works properly but we can't join a game as I miss apparently March and April updates. Strangely, I cannot deactivate these packages on the other PC, so we are completely blocked right now... Thanks

Yes, will do tomorrow.
Basically I cannot install April and March Update because I already did it, unfortunately they are not in the game.

I also have a similar issue.
My game is at version 1.0.8.4 which is the december 2020 update. I haven't bought the season pass but the April update is free for all players. I am very sure I downloaded it when it released but in game I'm not at the April version. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled and I'm still at the same old version 1.0.8.4.

I specifically made a new game yesterday to try out the new units but none was there obviously since I'm not on that version.

Maybe I'm not understanding you correctly. Could you post an image of your library?

Picture 1 shows in Steam that I own Protugal Pack and also Vietnam/Kbulai, so March and April update. I bought them through teh New Frontier Pass on July 27 last year.
Picture 2 shows upon the start of the game an add for the New Frontier Pass
Picture 3 shows in the game that the Zombie modus is not available. Also Portugal and Vietnam are not in the game

The April 2021 update is a free update for all civ 6 owners indepedent of whether they have the season pass or not. Or is this wrong?
Because frankly they have stated multiple times that this is a free update.

@Knaschtwixgummi - Unfortunately, your image links are broken, so I'm unable to see them.

@ThaTrooper - If you are still on version 1.0.8.4, there is something wrong with your setup/installation, because that is five versions behind the current version. Have you tried verifying the integrity of your game files in Steam?

The version 1.0.8.4 (december 2020) is the latest free version until the April 2021 update. I don't have season pass so I don't have access to the the other updates.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled but my game is still at version 1.0.8.4 which is the free december 2020 update. The April is also a free update right? Even for those who don't own the season pass. That's what civ6 has stated.

The other versions after 1.0.8.4 require the season packs or the individual packs. I haven't bought them so I don't expect to have them. What I don't understand is why I don't have the April patch which is free and avalaible to everyone as they claim.

Nope, that's not accurate at all. Every month there was a free update to the base game regardless of whether a paid DLC was included. January and March had free updates as well as a paid DLC, February and April were completely free with no paid DLC content.

Again, something is screwy with your setup. When you uninstall/reinstall through Steam, do you make sure and delete any leftover files? Many times there will be leftover files/folders in "..\User Files\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI". What does just verifying the integrity of your game files in Steam do? Nothing?

I just verified the integrity of the files and it was all fine. I'm still at 1.0.8.4 though... I will reinstall and remove leftover files.

Reinstalled by removing all of the civ 6 folder in the directory you designated and my game is still at the same version. A screenshot of the version below.
