Are trade vessels reusable

I played just two games, so probably still miss some details.

But it looks like vehicles used to establish trade routes are... BEEN RESTORED after 25 turns... so you can setup the new route.

Is that true?

Pretty much. It's just the same trade unit having finished its route. After a trade unit finishes its route it has to be reassigned. You won't actually lose a trade unit unless it gets destroyed during its route by enemy units/aliens.

... ok, that makes sense now.

It is actually quite boring to re-assign those TRs. Especially, with quite a big empire you do it each 2-nd turn... Is there any way TRs could be 'auto-reconnected'?

Thanks!

Unfortunately you can't automate them or anything. The trade route management when you have a huge empire is one of the gripes a lot of people have about the game so far.

We can just hope that a patch in the future will make it less time-consuming to keep re-assigning them all.

There are some mods on the workshop that change the trade route duration though and the Enhanced User Interface Mod adds a handy hotkey (+button) to repeat the last trade route.

Or you can edit the game files yourself (= you can still get achievements), to do so, go to Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth\assets\Gameplay\XML and open GlobalDefines.xml with a text editor. Search for:

<Row Name="TRADE_ROUTE_BASE_TURN_DURATION">
<Value>25</Value>
</Row>

...and replace the 25 with the number you want.
