ARGH !!! The AI is ruining my game !!!

I'm playing in the Yet another ZWK Game as minor allies.

Each round the AI alters my production to useless stuff, effectively ruining my game. I have tried Lazyciv, but that doesnt work.

And yes, i'm positive i end the round the right way. One active unit left, press Ctrl-N and save.

If there is a solution somewhere, please share it with me. Because this is takeing the fun out of the game.

You get a hex editor, I use XVI32 because it works fine and it's free. You can get it off cnet.

Then, open your .net file after you save it.

Go to the 40 position, with XVI32 it should be the tenth block on the second column and change whatever it is the number for the civ color you are.

Click save.

EDIT: Since you are blue you change the number to 03.

40 position ? you mean the 40th line counting down ?
 
40th position= 40th block counting across so 10th block counting across on second line.

Um, Duke I just thought of this. Might not sas be player 7 because he is last to move each turn?

Yeah, it sounds like Xin Yu may have found a way around it, great!

But, he would have been position 02. The way Koby made the scenario, the Soviets and Minor Allies had already 'moved' at the start of the game, so the even though the Axis are the first to move, they are not in position 01, but 03. When the game first starts up and you are picking the country to play, look at the order the players are listed in, that is their 'player position'.

The way Lazyciv (version2) is arranged, you needn't worry what position you are anymore. The program will record that information the first time you run it and and then use it when it is required. But irrespective of that, As you have mentioned, I believe the position simply refers to how far you are down the master list of possible tribes- not who went first. So Soviets are position 1 and so on.
 
To clearify using hex editor on version 1 of Lazyciv:

Step 1, get your civ order: it is the sequence in the "pick up a civ" screen", ranges from 1 to 7 if there are 7 players, but will be more difficult to decide if less than 7 civs are involved. A scenario may not start from the first civ, so don't rely on that for your civ sequence. The best way to decide it is to open another saved file, which you were the human player (end of your turn save, for example) and find the number at the 40th position.

Step 2, open the saved file you want to change, and go to the 40th position (hex 0027 since hex numbers start at 0 and you count to 27 at the 40th decimal position). Usually a hex editor has 16 positions on each row, so you go to the 8th position at the 3rd row.

Step 3, change that position to your civ order.

Step 4, open civ MPE, start a multiplayer game and load the saved game.

Step 5, immediately run lazyciv. Anything you do now may reset the changes you've made, so run lazyciv at the first opportunity. (In version 2 you need to wait till the screen of picking male/female or name for your civ's leader, since the program will pick your civ order for you in version 2).

Of course you should have lazyciv already run at your previous turn to record your civ production, or there is nothing to restore.

The above only apply to version 1. In version 2 you don't need a hex editor.
