Does it include Mechanized infantry?

No Mech Infantry are not considered Armor units

Don't waste your promotion on Ambush, which is so selective in usefulness as to be nearly totally useless. The most useful air promotions are Siege I, II, II which give bonuses against cities; Bombardment I, II, II which give bonuses against all land units; and -- most important -- Air Repair (auto-repair) and Logistics (double attack).
