haunted by blackness
Ok...no, I didn't really a virus. I was fortunanate that I had Norton Antivirus instaled on my computer. But I was really shocked to see Norton catch a virus like that, because I did a virus project back in sixth grade and read up on it on Howstuffworks.
It's called Eek (b).
What happened was because of school. There were a ton of lost floppies in the library at the end of the school yaer, because tons of students foolishly leave their floppies in the school computers. I asked if I could have them and got 80+ disks, way more than I ever expected.
So I started formatting them. Many times Windows couldn't format the floppy and I had to close the [format] window and then open it again to be able to format it. About five disks couldn't be formatted.
In the middle of the formatting, I almost jumped back so far that I fell out of my chair. TWO disks had the Eek (b) virus!!
Just one question: That is a boot sector virus, right?
