Hi there,

I had an idea for a Civ 4 mod but I have no idea if it's viable or not. In the game you hae buttons for turning on and off "labels" for resources and so on. You can also add the grid of tiles as a layer if you want.

I wondered if it would be possible to mod in another button that would turn on and off names of places and landmarks.

For example on the world map you might want to label the oceans or maybe rivers or mountain ranges, this "layer" of the map could be toggled on and off.

Would this be possible? And how easy is it to achieve? If you want an example of what I mean I could knock one up quickly in paint I'm sure.

At least in the World Builder there's a function to label places, so maybe these "signposts" show up in the game if you make a scenario (or just start up the WB, label and close it again).

Personally I wouldn't really care about labels, this isn't Sim City 2k after all ;)

Ah thanks for that I'll take a look for it.

For the mod I want to make labels will be very useful. ;)
