Ok, I have reason to believe that some of codecs that are installed with Civ scrambled my codecs that uses my video capture card (video is captured in good frame rate, but seams slower), virtual dub (during playback sound is choppy)….
So, before I uninstall all my software and drivers I would like to know what codec does Civ uses for sound playback and recording for Voip.
Also, is there a way to turn off Voip function (I don’t mean that in game box in Advanced, Audio options), because I can’t use it anyway. It crashes my game and, what is worst, I can’t use any other Voip programs, like Team speak without using two sound cards
(Here is the method I use
1. run TS, set SB as input/output device to TS, run the game (in game also SB as VOIP capture and playback device),
2. pres ok when Civ report error acesing Audio capture device,
3. Alt+Tab, set my I/O card in TS to primary onboard sound
and here we go.
Sound in game is still operational and using primary system sound card, which is onboard soundcard, and TS uses onboard soundcard. Now I can play with music and sounds, and talk to my friends...)
