No luck in Montreal. Went to three different stores, had to go on a walk for something else anyway. The guy at EB Games told me they'd "most likely have it tomorrow" ... ok. Well I asked him if many people inquired about the game. He said "5 or 6 people in the last few days actually". I didn't expect anyone to have asked about it. I'm not sure I believe him, after all he did immediately suggest that I make a deposit to reserve my copy. I declined.
 
For your Dallas folks, the Gamestop in Northpark has it. Just picked it up for $29.99. They don't actually have them sitting out on the shelves, the guy had to go into the back of the store to get it out of this week's box of new stuff. So FYI for you guys, when you go to look, ask somebody, don't assume it would be out on the shelves if they had it in stock.

They don't have in in Joliette. I'll go to the store later before they close.
 
It's available at a couple of stores here in the Seattle area...I purchased online at Best Buy for pickup but havent' received my "you can pick it up" email.....I'd better get it soon..lunch is almost here.

I at least called.. and when I just told them if they had the new colonization, they answered swiftly ''no but maybe tomorrow'' so I guess the guy wasn't lying.
 
Can anyone answer to the thread First impressions for the poor of us who wont get it until tomorrow at best ?
 
I got it from EB Games at lunch via UPS overnight but I am stuck at work!!!

Plus, I have a dentist appt at 4pm so I won't be able to leave work early

I got it!

Herald Square Game Stop (Manhattan). There were about five copies on the shelf.....I'm installing as we speak.
 
Circuit City's computers still don't think it's out yet, and it's not on the shelves. Too bad...I was going to get it there to save a few bucks since they were advertising a sale price. Also struck out several other places...

...but when I found myself in the local Target shopping for something else, what did I see sitting on the shelf? :clap:

P.S. I suppose I shouldn't be so surprised, but man, this game really has been built on the same framework as Civ IV. Hope I don't get all the familiar Civ IV crashinating from Col...

I called one EBGames here in Montreal (the one in Cote Vertu mall) and the guy hadn't even ever HEARD of Colonization until I asked him about it. I got the same answer as everyone else in Montreal... "Maybe tomorrow".
 
MONTREALERS:

*pant pant* I just came running back from EB Games on Decarie to announce to you that they have it there. I asked him how many copies he had for my fellow gamers here and he said about 10 (well 9 now I guess :D)

I went there this morning and he said he didn't have it but they receive shipments at around noon. So I went back as he said and there you have it. It's okay, I walk in front of it many times a day, hehe.

EDIT: 29.99$ CAD. Wrapped slightly differently with a french translation of the manual on top.
 
BTW, I saw the game yesterday at my local Target, but did not purchase it. I will probably purchase it come November or ask for it as a gift for Christmas. I don't think my computer has enough disk drive space left anyway.
 
Yea it is available on steam since yesterday.

There is no manual however, and I am having trouble finding a copy on the net.

I too just saw the add in the paper for Fry's. Wednesday and Thursday Only Sept. 24th - 25th for the sale price of $23.99.

I will pick up my copy tomorrow. I need to look at DVD Recorders too plus pick up another dvd burner for the computer.
