given the recent discussion by slozenger about the deficits of evolution, should we ban it??? it doesnt appear to work very well, like he pointed out, so it should be forbidden i think.

Eugh!

FFS! i AM a scientist, i accept evolution as truth, i was just bemoaning its lack of efficiency and dazing on how much has been lost by accident.

Evolution is AS close to FACT as possible for any explanation as to why we are here

Yeah, let's ban everything we don't agree with! It's not like this is America or anything!

Oh, wait....

Oh, wait....
i think we as Americans have always banned anything which isn't right, like prostitution, pornography, sodomy and british people. so why dont we ban evolution???

Banning evolution makes no sense.

The reason we ban prostitution, pornography, sodomy and British people is that they all contribute to de-evolution.

I don't recall us banning British people. :p

I think the difference is those are acts deemed immoral and unacceptable by society, and are banned because of it; evolution is a scientific theory, they are very different.

copernicus theory that the sun was the center of the universe was banned by the church tho, and it was a scientific theory, so why shouldnt we ban evolution???

I dont recall you banning prostitution, pornography or sodomy as long as you are in the correct state...

The same reason the Church shouldn't have banned Nik's little theory, it's about scientific progress, and locking up a bunch of scientists wont' make their work any less valid.

Yes - that was several hundred years ago. :p They also wore hose instead of pants back then, and bathed once a month, they did a lot of wacky things.

Well, prostitution is banned in most states, and child pornography is banned in every state, although you're correct, sodomy is now legal everywhere in the US.

oh, please dont take it as a direct attack, there are a few places who allow:

prostitution outside the states (Crazy ass amsterdam!)
porn: worldwide nearly (child porn is anothering, and banned everywhere)
sodomy: slowly being accepted worldwide as there is nothing wrong with it.

please dont go of the topic!!! this thread is about banning evolution, not prostitiuon, sodomy and pronography. i was just using them as an example!!!

HAHAHA! i love it, all we need is creationism, Iraq and abortion and this thread has it all

#fake edit to add comedy- woops i guess we now do!

no no no, no iraq or abortion or creationism please. its about banning evolution.
