Barbarian Galleys and Sea Squares

If your boat type unit finishes the turn in a sea square, can a barbarian galley attack it? Or do they only attack boats on coast squares?

in my perception, it is the latter. i tested this several times, and the barb galleys never attacked me on a sea square... to be falsified .

I've also got into the habit of sailing out to Sea if a Barb-boat(s) is approaching -- especially if my Curragh or Galley is already damaged. I'd rather take my chances in potentially treacherous waters than suffer the 'mercy' of the Barbs.

Never had a barb attack in a sea tile. They only attack, when they can finish in a tile that is safe for them.
