Basium Teamed with AV.

I'm well into a game. Decius/Bannor is to my north. Thessa/Elves to the south. Both are AV. Bannor switched between Empyrean and AV a time or 2. He built Mercurian gate. Now he is Evil/AV with Basium as a teammate. AC at 65. Somehow I don't think Basium should on the team that is fighting to cover Erebus with hellfire. In my opinion, this is something that should be fixed in a later version.

Basium want to fight against demons, no matter who is in his team. But it is strange, yes. Maybe we can make for the Mercurian Portal the same thing than for the Altar of Luonnatar : it may be reserved for neutral or good leaders, and maybe Basium may declare war if the leader becomes bad.

Dunno if the game mechanics allow teams to break and head to war. Still, its always fun to summon Bazza as Hybo.

Currently the Mercurian Gate cannot be build by Non-AV teams, thats it. Switching religion after you've summoned Basium does nothing to influence him.

Personally I don't see the issue with it. I would not see na issue even with Basium actively worshiping AV.

In terms of lore, there can be two explanations for this.
1. You worship AV for the destruction (like a certain girl we all love to hate) and you summon forth Basilum to and Hyborem in hopes that their war does a hell of a lot damage to the landscape.

2. You hate the demons and worship AV as a way of getting them to come to erebus where you and your pall Basilum can smite them. And the research bonus helps too.

So you see, its not that contradictory when you think about it.

You cannot break a team. You could however cause Basium's teammates' cities to have AV routinely removed from them the same as it is from Mercurian cities, making them unable to adopt the religion.
