Ooh, potato pancakes. No, I haven't tried sour cream plus pancakes (of any kind) but now I'm curious. Damn you, Perfection! *shakes fist in air*

We don't get any real maple syrup here in Michigan...it's all sugar syrup crap that tastes like hair gel. So instead, my mom created a nice berry sauce:

1 package of frozen berries (or equivalent in fresh berries)
Sugar
Salt (to taste)
Water

Put berries into stovepot and bring to slight boil. Add a bit of water to loosen consistency if desired, then add a ton of sugar. A cup tends to work. Taste. If not sugary enough, add more. If too sugary, add a bit of salt and water. Taste again. Repeat process until desired taste is achieved, then drain some water and serve on pancakes.

It tastes sooooooo good.

Sour cream and pancakes (with real maple syrup) make up one of the greatest breakfast pleasures in Perfection's life.

I have but one dillemma, I can't for the life of me convince other people to try it!

Short of force-feeding, blackmail, and other unethical behavior how can I help people experience this joy?

And don't react with EWWWW or anything because you are WRONG, they are delicious.
Pancakes with sour cream is East-Slavic traditional food, although we don't add maple syrup. Here you can find recipe of Russian pancakes (we call them blins)
Topped with a rich Smetana
Hey, whence you know this word? Smetana is only for us!
