I know it's an ambiguous matter to mention Herodotus and history together for some, but I'd like to know which book according to your opinion is the best on Herodotus.
My primary criterion is that the book (also) has to delve into the person Herodotus instead of merely translating his works and sharing them with some handy footnotes and appendix.
