What was your favorite GOTM. The one you remember the most. The one you liked the best. The one that had that something wonderful. The one that gives you that special feeling inside. The one you'd die to play again. Don't just tell the number, tell us why. Already thinking about it makes you want to... :woohoo:

Favorites: The Gauntlet (#58?) and the Aztec - Earth Map (#50?). These were challenging large map games [that went well for me]. But they were very long, and I probably wouldn't want to play them again.

Also Memorable: Ali's 7-Arc map; and his butterfly map; the "maze" (my first GOTM... #45 IIRC). The modern age earth map (#63?).

Wanna play again: Hmm... there were several early conquest games on smaller maps, restarts off, that I'd like to play again, but I don't remember them well. I might like to re-play my failures [the New Zealand - Earth map (#72?), the swamp map (#48??), the advanced-tech ringworld map ...] But I guess that's not what you meant.

It is hard to pick a favorite. Some of the memorable ones are:
1. My HaftJazire and butterfly maps (GOTM53 and GOTM 55)
2. The one where there was a severe penalty for cities over 10 (GOTM 57?)
3. Aztecs on earth against advanced rivals.
4. Earth map where we could be Europeans, Non-Aligned, or Americans.
5. The revealed earth map where we started in New Zealand (GOTM 24?)
6. Ringworld and gauntlet.
7. The one where we started on an island of size 2 (GOTM 40 something)
8. GOTM75: the 4-tile island world.

I guess all custom maps are more memorable.

The Jungle map in which no progress could be made for a long time

GOTM 24 the NZed juggernaut (in which I did well, as I recall)

GOTM 50 with the Aztecs against advanced rivals

Any of the ones from the last year which I have not been able to play on Mac OSX. Wah.

I guess I like the Earth maps.
