I'm a little tired of old fashioned Civ and thought I'd try out some of those scenario thingamamabobs -- so far, Fall of Rome, Whup London, and Everyone Likes Moia.

Not bad, I guess, but at least on Immortal difficulty, too easy (especially the Whup London scenario) -- though, re Fall of Rome, I have to say that playing as Rome looks like it would be insanely annoying/challenging.

So -- wondering who out there has tried the scenarios on Immortal+, and has any recommendations for what Civ/what Scenario is particularly fun or interesting or challenging to play ...

Fall of Rome as ERE, i had non stop action, against Persia and barbarians, awsome game it was. In this scenario you can see how cataphracts and dromon are deadly combo.

Not tried it them Immortal, but I found both the Civil War and the Smokey Skies scenarios two of the more interesting ones because of how different they played from normal Civ 5 games.

Scramble for Africa and Empires of the Smoky Skies - though I don't play higher than Emperor, I've seen MadDjinn play both of these scenarios on Diety and they both look to pose very good challenges.

Is the whup London scenario the 1066? That would've been my recommendation if it is not.

I presume it is. I mentioned in passing on the 'Conquest of the New World Deluxe' or 'Bison' thread that the scenario I'd most like to see updated for the new mechanics is 1066, and got several people saying "me too!" - seems I'm not alone in considering this the best of, at least, the pre-G&K scenarios (I haven't actually played any of the G&K or BNW ones except, very briefly, Fall of Rome).
