Best Traits?

Personally I like the Seafaring/Agricultural combo if you start on the coast with a river. Fast expansion and extra gold :D

I have been playing the Mayans and i gotta tell you they are great. They are a little weak in the early stage but the Javalin thrower is a great UU (but i agree that barbs should not give free workers) but it goes out of style fast. Cost of a swordsman but 2/2/1. I do like getting free workers even when they are defending though, wall+ 3 javalin thowers = worker farm  ..

I love the balancing of the civs.. Before C3C there was really only one choice in my mind, Egyptians.. or if ya wanted to really fight it out then the Chinese.

I have tried Americans, Mayans, Celts, Netherlands and Scandinavia so far and I Love how each is a diffrent game.

Expansioninst is really really cool now.. My friend and I played a game on Cheiftin (he is new to Civ) and I choose America to sorta handicap myself.. OMG did i own .. He only plays on the 1 land mass maps, i forget what its called. I got 8!!! techs from goodie huts. and when i was ready my world map made me a ton of cash.. (yes i know it was cheiftin) On an Island map Expansionsist would be last place

Industrious is a little weaker but it needed to be brought down a little.. It was a must have before, now its a really good to have but isn't overpowering..

Religious is about the same, I still really like it.

Agriculture is very very cool.. Great for fast starts.

Seafaring, on island maps this is the new king.. I love this.. I sent 5 ships in a row across the ocean and they didn't sink.. its about 50% i believe.. maybe a little too high. IMHO on land maps this doesn't do a lot.

Comercial I haven't tried yet.. When i first played Civ I always..always played France.. but as i learned more i switched to Egypt (about the time i started playing Emp games) I haven't tried it in C3C yet but I haven't seen anything to make me want to switch back.

Militaristic, I usually don't play Covs with this trait but i might start.. Armies are HUGE now. I had 3 swordsmen in an army and it was like a tank. 4/3/2 might not seem tough but when your attacking spearmen and pikemen it is.. oh the 12 hp helps too 8D

Scientific I haven't tried yet either, but I need to find a way to do it.. Military greatleaders don't letyou speed build wonders. only Scientific leaders do.. this was always my use for the Leaders so I will go Civ shopping..

The changes are really really nice, now i will actually try the other Civs.. but Each Civ will have a diffrent playing style..

my list so far (subject to change :crazyeye: )

1. Industrious- can't beat faster workers
2. Agricultural- More food, Faster then anyone else
3. Religious- Almost even with Agri, Culture is good
4. Scientific- SGL's = faster wonders
5. Militeristic- MGL's = Tanks in 4000 bc
6. Comercial- because i haven't played it yet

** I left off Expansion and Seafaring because these are map dependent. Each is 1st or 2nd on their respective Maps and last on the opposite
