The Final Frontier demo for BtS did none of this. It really did include the entire BtS assets, though they were not needed. This allowed those of us with the demo to begin modding BtS early. As for shutdown, simply pop up a message saying that the user has reached the end of the demo, show a splash screen, and end the program. Again, this is what the Final Frontier demo did.they'd have to rework the menu (Don't want too many disabled options), remove unused data (for security and file size reasons)
The Final Frontier demo simply let people play the first 100 turns of Final Frontier, without saves. I would propose the same for civ5.
