Beyond Earth map looks like tv error screen

The water tiles are fine but every land tile is completely screwy. I've looked at 'Enable DOF' but it is already set to 0. I don't know what to do to fix this please help.

This is a common problem with outdated video drivers and/or video cards (such as the ones on the 4-year-old laptop I'm traveling with right now -- my screen looks just like yours, which makes the game unplayable (for me) while I'm traveling).
