Bigger is Better.
v 0.5 for Warlords 2.08
This Mod is designed for Large and Huge maps. It combines three square radius for cities with 6 additional specialists, additional/modified resources, buildings and improvements. This allows fewer but much larger and faster growing cities. Tech costs have been increased as well as some added to compensate for the ability of the larger cities to produce large amounts of commerce/science (and everything else). Unit movement has also been increased for the larger maps and there are new units and unit changes, particularly in the naval and air domains. Be prepared for some very large armies.

Unfortunately I lost the detailed documentation of the changes. I will try to recreate it when I have time. I wanted to get this out before I started turning my attention to BTS.

Credits
Spoiler :

Three Square Radius DLL: Konradius's Warlords version of Roger Bacon's original.

Specialist Stacker Python code: The Lopez. (I modified it somewhat to get all the extra specialists to line up.)

Graphics by many people, list to come.

Unfortunately, this mod now bombs out after the latest patch.

Is it possible for this mod to be updated to work?

Is it also possible for it to be updated to work for BTS?

Ultimately, I think this idea would be good to be implemented in the main game through a civic that can be used after the discovery of a certain tech (late in the tree perhaps).

This civic would allow citizens to work the land beyond the 21 squares (only in cities where the culture reaches that far of course) but at a penalty of (say) -50% culture growth for balance.

Which patch? Warlords 3.08 was working.

The three radius part was a MOD component [DLL] that I used. (Reminds me I need to at least get the credits done). You can get the raw DLL from the mod components section and dj_anion has a new BTS version. Attaching it to a civic would be difficult, I compensated by increasing the culture for third level so only older cities could use it.

I plan on updating this for BTS, but I need to get through a few games to get a feel for the changes before I start modding it. Also, at present I am focused the Final Frontiers Scenario and will be modding that first.

There is an "automatic" patch beyond the 2.08 one which takes it to 2.13. You are prompted for this when you install BTS.

Another variation on beyond the 21 sqaures might be that you can't work them until level 4 culture or even until culture maxes out. Is this possible or easy? And/Or...beyond the 21 squares can only be worked with the presence of a certain building eg: Granary II or somesuch.
